This year our parish membership went up to 2,533 families. That’s 6,012 registered individuals at St. Stephen the Martyr Parish!
Together, as a family of faith we celebrate the Eucharist as the source & summit of parish life with vibrant and meaningful liturgies and we rejoice in life through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Marriage, Anointing, and funeral services.
At St. Stephen’s 2,300 worshipers joined together each weekend to celebrate the Eucharist. Weekday expressions of communal worship included:
• Daily Masses
• Morning & Evening Prayer
• Eucharistic Adoration
• Rosary
• Our Lady of Perpetual Help Novena
• Twice a Month Devotion to the Precious Blood
We celebrated the diversity of our parish community through the multi-cultural liturgical celebrations of:
• Simbang Gabi
• Our Lady of La Vang
• Our Lady of Gaudalupe
• Our Lady of Czestochowa
• Pentecost
• Corpus Chirsti Mass & Procession
• The Feast of St. Pedro Calungsod
The Sacraments of the Church are wonderful gifts from God! They incorporate many signs and they symbolize the life of work of Jesus Christ. However, they do more than simply point to God’s grace. Through the Holy Spirit, the Sacraments make the very grace they symbolize real and present for those who are participating in the Sacrament. St. Stephen’s Parish has been blessed to participate in the graces received through the sacraments:
• This year we welcomed seventy-four new members into our community in the Sacrament of Baptism
• Seventy-three individuals received First Eucharist
• Sixty-two individuals were Confirmed in the Holy Spirit
• We celebrated forty-two funerals
• Many parishioners experienced the forgiveness of our Lord in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and healing in the Sacrament of the Sick
