For the Church, that clergy and laity alike would confidently and courageously proclaim the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to all, we pray:
That those who hold public office will imitate the goodness of God who secures justice and the rights of all the oppressed, we pray:
For those who lost loved ones and livelihood in the recent hurricane, may God bring them the resources they need, courage to face all difficulties, and hope for the future, we pray:
That during this Respect Life Month we will work fervently to advance the Gospel of Life, we pray:
That our parish will grow in faith, hope, and love through deeper devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the holy rosary, we pray:
That the Risen Christ may heal the sick and comfort all who are afflicted in any way, especially Jim Steckler, Jill Ann Guenther, Virgilio Olivarez, Homer Ignacio, Araceli Tarabi, Danny Estrella, and for those whose names are on our prayer chain and written in our prayer intention book, we pray:
For the souls of all the faithful departed; may they enter into the joy of God’s presence with all the saints, especially Maggie MacArthur, William Joslin,
Susan Hansen, John Kampsen, Floricel Ewolhin (E-woe-lin), and Lucy Solon (mother of Emmie French), we pray:
Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you Sacramentally, come at least
spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O Good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy wounds hide me.
Suffer me not to be separated from thee.
From the malignant enemy defend me.
In the hour of my death call me and bid me come unto Thee;
That with all Thy saints I may praise thee, forever and ever.
Amen.
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God,
cast into hell, Satan, and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
