Joyful Sounds Chorale (also open to young-adults)
This is the most old and traditional choir of St. Stephen. The choir started in the early 1970s and was called "The Community Choir", build with the purpose to support the liturgy at St. Stephen church. Developed during the past decades, thanks to the ongoing commitment of the members, the choir sing every Sunday at 8:30am in addition to many solemnities during the entire year.
Filipino-American Choir
To sing is to pray twice! The Filipino-American Choir is an organized company of choristers who provide bi-lingual liturgical music during the year, and other community events both inside and outside St. Stephens. The Filipino-American Choir strives to share time and talent as musical messengers of the Gospel for the glory of God. Simbang Gabi is the culmination of the Choir’s annual commitment. Simbang Gabi is a beloved Filipino tradition in exultation of the motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Joining the Filipino American Choir is a great way to make music, make friends, and made a difference - all in God’s name.
St. Stephen's Contemporary Music Group
The St. Stephen’s Contemporary Music Group currently leads Mass every other Saturday evening and at 11am the first Sunday of every month. In addition they are regularly called upon to lead contemplative gatherings and various diocesan events throughout the year. They will often use original music pieces and a Mass specifically written for St. Stephen the Martyr.
Saturday Evening Choir
This group is an ensemble currently comprised of eleven singers/instrumentalists, along with a “tech team” of two who run sound and screens for the group. Accompany their music with piano, guitar and string bass. Most of the members have been singing together for over ten years, and all of them have been music ministers for many years. The group sing a mix of contemporary and traditional Catholic Christian music, always striving to enhance the celebration of mass and elevate our parishioner’s worship. The choir sing at the Saturday evening Vigil Mass every-other weekend, and for Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and the Easter Vigil.
This group of ladies sing two times per month on Sunday at 11am. Also Schola support the youth Choir during special liturgies like Christmas Ave's Mass.
Youth Choir (Ages 10 to 19)
Made by two ansambles: Children and Teens. Choir involve our young people forming them as the choristers of the future, giving them the opportunity to discover the music joyning together for their weekly practice and singing one time per month every fourth Sunday at 11am.
