St Stephen’s Parish has qualified lay persons in the ministry of reaching out and taking the Eucharist and prayer to those unable to attend Mass. In the case of serious illness (or death) every effort is made to locate a priest for an anointing for the sick.

Food is available for parishioners and anyone living in the Renton or Kent School District. Financial assistance for rent, utilities, medical, or other aid is provided for parishioners. Non-parishioners are helped by our St. Vincent dePaul Conference. Our Career center provides resume’ help, interviewing skills, and job bank resources. Food Bank hours: Mondays 10am - 11:45am; Wednesdays 4pm -5:45pm, and Fridays 10am-11:45am.

A funeral begins the healing process after the death of a loved one. It is a the opportunity to reflect on and share in the life and events of the deceased, with prayer, scripture, music and friends. It also provides a Christian burial and farewell to a loved one.

St. Stephens Outreach donates supplies and money to Pregnancy Aid of Kent. This non-profit helps women and their families during and shortly after their pregnancies. Some of the services are pregnancy tests and maternity clothes and clothes for the family members to equipment for the new baby including formula, diapers, etc.
These ministries are extremely important to individuals and families experiencing tragedies in life. We are here to help you walk with the dying, the grieving, the divorced, the distressed, and the emotional issues of life.

For the past 21 years, St. Stephen’s Housing Association has owned or lease 20 transitional houses for homeless families with children. An impassioned ministry of Christian love for the less fortunate.
